FOOTPRINTS ON THE SANDS OF TIME, AN EAGLE FLEW BY OUR WAY. Mrs. Dorcas Osayomwanbor Olatunde was born on the 28th of May, 1971 in Benin City to Late Pastor Philip Osarenmwinda and Mrs. Esther Osarenmwinda of Orhionmwon local government of Edo state. Dorcas started to dedicate herself to the service of God at a very tender age. At about the age of 10 yrs, she joined the choir of Christ Chosen Church of God in Benin City. She was the youngest and the smallest person in the group then. And as such, none of the choir robes was her size but she was not deterred. Every Sunday morning would get a rope and tie the choir robe up at her chest as long as she was allowed to sing for the Lord. It took a lot of sacrifices and holy living to belong to the choir in those days. They fasted and prayed all night long very often. She would participate in all the exercises, sometimes even beyond her limit. So much so, that in some cases the choir master then would at his own discretion exempt her from fulfilling long days fasting – and she would cry. She also joined and served in almost every youth groups in the church throughout her teenage years. And even when she received the end time message of the rapture of the saints and began to worship with Charity The Headstone Tabernacle Benin City, she continued with her singing ministry even playing on the keyboard right till the time of her death. She lost her first job because she refused to compromise her Christian principles. She did this at a time when the entire family depended on her meager salary for survival as she was the only one working then. But not long after she took that stand, God provided her a job at Joel business center before she got a better job at the Federal Staff Clinic which was later merged with UBTH where she was a staff till her demise. She attended her primary school education at Virginia primary school, new Benin, Benin City. She also attended Ovue Uwe Commercial College (OUCC ) where she acquired a vast knowledge of shorthand and typewriting and bagged two (2) certificates from the Institute of Commerce of Nigeria in shorthand with 60 words per minute. In 1982 she gained admission into Emotan College and obtained her WASC in 1988 and obtained her GCE at Institute of Continuing Education in 2001. She went further to obtain her Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in secretarial administration in 1999 at Osissa Polytechnic, Enugu. Her quest for more knowledge inspired her to obtain a Bachelor of Science/Education (B.SC/Ed) in secretarial studies at the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma between year 2000 and 2004. She worked as a computer operator/typist between year 1991-1999 at the popular Joel Business Centre at Akpakpava Benin City, where She was nick named ‘fast fingers’ as a result of her dexterity, working practically with no supervision, thereby earning the trust and confidence of the likes of chief Mike Ogiadome ,Chief of Staff to the President of the Federal Republic, Dr Abel Guobadia, former INEC Chairman and so many others, including her boss Mr. Joel Ighodaro who allowed her liberty to oversee her unit. It was here she impressed Mr. Joe Okoeguale, with her prowess in using the computer, who marveled at such excellent skills and in bid to reward her enquired if she wished to work with the federal civil service, an offer she turned down severally. He went ahead to introduce her to his wife Dr. [Mrs.] Bridget Okoeguale the then deputy director at the federal staff clinic, Benin City. And between 2000 and 2006, she worked as a confidential secretary at the Federal staff clinic, commercial avenue GRA, Benin City, till 2006, when the clinic was merged with University of Benin Teaching Hospital. Her working relationship with Dr. [Mrs.] Bridget Okoeguale transcended the office, it was a tick tack mother and daughter relationship that was almost inseparable. When the clinic was merged with UBTH, Dr. Okoeguale wished with all her heart sister Dorcas would move with her to Federal Ministry of health, Abuja. That was not to be and Dr. Okoeguale hasted without hesitation to personally recommend her to work with the Chief Medical Director. [CMD] Sister Dorcas have had to travel to Abuja severally at times for up to one week, officially, to successfully resolve computer based issues that would have turned messy and protracted, this the CMD and Dr. Okoeguale can both attest to. Her knowledge of shorthand and transcription was so extra-ordinary that lecturers consulted her from the Institute of Continuing Education I.C.E Benin City She was the confidential secretary to the Chief Medical Director at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital till her Home call. Sister Dorcas as she was popularly called was certified as a member of the Institute Of Confidential Secretaries Of Nigeria on the 23rd of September, 2011 in accordance with the provisions of the Law and was authorized to use the designation of MICS. Mrs Dorcas Osarenmwinda was really dedicated to her duties at work and ready to take up new challenges. This made her employers have so much confidence in her and they could entrust responsibilities to her. The CMD of UBTH had this to say about her while recommending for UK visa in 2010: I write to certify that the above-named who is a Secretarial staff of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital is well known to me. She has worked closely with me for the past four years as a Confidential Secretary and an internet and communication expert. During these periods I found her very hardworking, dedicated to duty, diligent and committed to service. She carries out assigned responsibilities with ease and has a penchant for unraveling naughty problems in the office. She is happily married and exhibits qualities of a good mother, wife and a devoted Christian. Hospital administration is satisfied with her conduct and devotion to duty and would spare nothing (including financial assistance) in ensuring that her stay abroad is most rewarding and fulfilling. I therefore have no hesitations whatsoever recommending her to you. Furthermore, any assistance to her by way of facilitating her documentations to travel would be deeply appreciated. Be assured of my warmest regard always. Prof. Ibadin O. Michael Chief Medical Director. Most recently, 25th of December to be precise, she won a merit award in recognition to her hard work and dedication to service as best staff in the CMD’s office of the Secretary to CMD’s Section by the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin City. If Sister Dorcas Olatunde excelled in her professional job calling, it was because she greatly devoted her life to serving the Blessed Lord Jesus Christ faithfully. Born into a pastor’s home, she received early Christian upbringing which molded her for future life challenges. In early 1994, Dorcas Olatunde, received the Back to the Bible revelation of Jesus Christ message, revealed by Brother William Marrion Branham, God’s vindicated prophet to this last day Christian age according to the prophecy of Malachi 4: 5-6. Mrs. Olatunde, once she saw the depth of Biblical hidden truths, far away from churchy religious formalism, as revealed by William Branham with supernatural verifiable vindications, sold out completely to this Word-Fed, Spirit-Led message since 1994. Dorcas believed that It is these divinely revealed mystery truths that will prepare a people for the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. It was like she found a pearl of great price then sold all she had to acquire it. Her life became totally devoted to the teachings of this message Inspiration of the life of Jesus Christ laid on out in 2 Peter 1:4-7 as taught by William Branham, which 7 Thundering Voices, will bring Jesus Back to earth again. Not one to just warm a church bench, Dorcas from the onset devoted her life and services to the local Christian assembly church here in Benin City, Charity The Headstone Tabernacle, pastored by Barrister Cliff Chima. Dorcas became so addicted to service to the local church that her pastor was often heard saying that were she a brother, she would have been an excellent deacon. Like Phebe of the Bible, Dorcas succored her local church ministry with her time and resources without reserve. She attended several message Christian conventions throughout Nigeria and in Ghana. She could have also attended the youth Christian convention in Wales December 2010 but could not on account of visa refusal. Such was her zeal and desire for this message of William Branham that she yielded her life until God filled her with the Baptism of the Holy Spirit which was the pearl and secret of her life of virtue, touching service and sweet friendship to many. Sister Dorcas was very close to her pastor’s family and worked closely with her for many years in taking care of church duties assigned her by her pastor’s wife. She helped in almost all secretarial duties the ministry needed and could be called on at anytime without resentment. In fact she took a very huge chunk of duties and responsibilities in her pastor’s 40th birthday celebration in 2010 to the joy and delight of the local Christian church. She was always in her place in church services and would gladly worship her Lord with smiles and joy, shouting ‘Amen’ to the preaching of the Word. She always brought such faith and enthusiasm to church services. She knew that the revelation of the 7 seals of the Book of Revelation opened the Bible’s hidden truths that will prepare our heart and lives for the imminent rapture of the saints. Sister Dorcas Olatunde found marital joy in November 20, 2004, when she wedded Amb. Philip Olatunde, a deacon in the local Christian church here in Benin City. They have 2 children, Samuel Bibilayo and Amber-Blossom Ololade born on July 28, 2012. During the pregnancy for Amber, Dorcas had to stop services in July 2012 on account of continuous abdominal pains. She was admitted for bed rest at the University of Teaching Hospital for monitoring. On July 28, Amber had to be delivered by caesarean section on account of continual abdominal pains. After delivery and a brief respite from her pains, the pains resumed with huge intensity. She was again re-admitted while the doctors did their best for almost 3 months until she finally joined the saints in the early hours of Saturday December 22, 2012. For all of the message believers of William Branham’s Revelation of Jesus Christ’s message across Nigeria and overseas who have been praying for her recovery, it was shocking and painful but it was time for Dorcas to leave the world’s stage. She will be highly missed by believers, friends and co-workers. She touched the lives of those who knew her. Her abiding smile and zeal for service which she did with a keenness cannot be replaced. We thank our Lord Jesus Christ for allowing this great gift, this jewel of inestimable worth, to pass through our way. She helped our lives and made us all better humans. Rest in the Lord, thou devoted Tabitha, we bear in our hearts all of your services to us, but The Lord gave you to us and The Good Lord hath taken you back Home to beautify His Presence. Blessed Be The Name of The Lord.
